Walking After Rain

Watercolor - 5' X 7' (on 140 lb cold pressed paper )

"The light rain rode on the wind" - Ruskin Bond.
In cheap yellow plastic boots we trudged through the meadow - wet but happy. Memories of childhood came flooding back - when we played soccer in the rain and then walked back home - bone-tired but laughing and screaming.

Cottage On the River

Walking amongst the trees I felt such a close communion with the forest. I spent a night with a very nice couple who shared their rice and dal with me. They plied me with food the next day when I set off on my trek.

Barn In the Mountain

Watercolor - 5' X 7' (on 140 lb cold pressed paper )
This watercolor is inspired by the barn house of my Sherpa friends Diki and Tashi - who shared their tea and biscuits with me as I emerged from the mountains in this clearing.

Aspen in December - skiiing on the fabulous Rocky Mountains. It was a glorious week - outstanding, magnificent mountains with some of the most varied terrain in the world.
